Frequently Asked Questions
What are your fees?
I do not want money to be a barrier for you in getting quality mental health services. Whether you decide to work with me or not my hope is to connect you to treatment that you can afford and that meets your individual needs. Please contact me for the most current and up to date fees.
Do you take insurance?
Supporting Act Counseling does not work with Managed Care Health Insurance programs. I am glad to provide a “superbill’ receipt that you may submit to your insurance company if you wish and request for a possible out of network reimbursement, however, I cannot guarantee reimbursement as this all depends upon your insurance plan. If you have a high deductible plan you may be able to submit the receipts from our sessions toward your deductible.
What can I expect at our first session?
Before we meet, you'll fill out and sign forms in my online system, which include providing your contact information, giving informed consent for treatment, policies and procedures, and going over payment options. When we first meet, I’ll go over the forms with you. We’ll then spend the rest of the session getting to know one another and begin to set goals for our time together. You’re welcome to ask me any questions at this time and throughout the therapeutic process.
What is your availability?
Availability is flexible and in general is during the day and evenings during the week. I will do my best to meet your personal needs. Learn more when you contact me to schedule your 15-minute complimentary phone consultation.
Where are you located?
The beauty of Supporting Act Counseling is that we offer cyber sessions so you can attend counseling at your leisure in the comfort of your own home or on the road. Teletherapy can be done via video or audio only - your choice. However, video offers a more holistic experience as I can better meet your needs by seeing your face and body language.
