We Judge Ourselves By Our Intentions And Others By Their Actions

We often judge other people by their actions but ourselves by our intentions. We see the best in ourselves when we do something but can tend to look at the negative aspects of others’ actions instead of thinking about what their intentions might be. If we can begin to think less negatively and more positively, or even neutrally, about the actions of others, we may feel less negative in general and not so irritated with others. This is not to say that people do not have bad intentions and hurt us. But we often make assumptions about others’ actions and intentions without really knowing the details.
